The collection contains letters and telegrams, 1921-1935, from Joseph Hergesheimer to Emma Trigg discussing personal and family matters, and his book "Balisand." A letter, 1921 November 29, from H.L. Mencken, comments on Hergesheimer. Letters, 1954-1955, from Leonora Speyer discuss her poor health and poem "X-ray." The collection also contans a Christmas card from Ellen Glasgow depicting "View of Richmond from the Church Hill about 1830"; Ellen glasgow's bookplate, and an article on Glasgow from the New York Herald Tribune.
